Chili Garlic Corn on the Cob

I was thinking about this one. I was thinking what a terrible dish to eat on a first date. We got garlic, corn that’ll get caught in your teeth PLUS it’s equally annoying friend sesame seeds. We gotta trifecta. With that warning out of the way lets get on with it.

I am actually personally not a corn fan, but it’s one of those things that I want to so badly like. People just make it looks so good! That’s why I often try and think of recipes that can change my mind about certain ingredients. I’d say personally this recipe could set someone on the right path to potentially really enjoying corn in the future.

With that being said this corn is FANTASTIC and super easy.

Ingredients

  • 4 corn on the cob, halved
  • 1TB clarified butter
  • 1TB sambal chili sauce
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1TB sesame seeds

Directions

  • Grill corn in hot cast iron for approximately 10-15 minutes, turning every couple of minutes.
  • Once grilled, toss with clarified butter and sambal.
  • Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
