Fried Mozzarella Stick Lettuce Wraps

where crispy indulgence meets freshness. It’s that “healthier but feels like cheating” moment. Baked or fried mozzarella wrapped in crunchy lettuce with roasted veggies, basil, and a drizzle of red wine herb vinaigrette alongside marinara for dipping.

Ingredients
  

  • 10 mozzarella sticks fried
  • 10 pieces fresh basil torn
  • 10 whole lettuce leaves
  • 6 slices portobello mushroom
  • 1 segmented tomato
  • 1 segmented red onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • Marinara for serving
  • Italian dressing for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. On a sheet tray, toss the portobello mushroom, tomato, and red onion with olive oil and sea salt. Roast for 10 minutes.
  3. To assemble each wrap, place fresh herbs (like basil) on a lettuce leaf.
  4. Top with a fried mozzarella stick, followed by the roasted tomato, red onion, and mushroom.
  5. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  6. Serve immediately with marinara and Italian dressing for dipping.
