TIPS & TRICKS FOR THE BEST BAKED BARBECUE PORK CHOPS
bone-in: leaving the bone in it not only adds more flavor. its also easier to grip the meat to flip throughout the seasoning and cooking process.
even layer: in order to ensure some color or char on the meat. an even layer is crucial. an even layer will ensure all the meat has an opportunity directly under the heat. so try and fit all the meat onto one pan at the top of the oven.
top shelf: remove your baking rack and place it at the spot closest to the broiler. this will give the chops some color and will keep you from having to move the racks while the ovens hot.
use what you like: use the beer and barbecue sauce you like best for the best results.
layers: to keep your pork chops sticky it is best to layer the sauce. a thin skin will form with each layer sticking the new sauce to the caramelized sauce. the more layers the stickier. avoid flipping too much.
