Crab & Cream Cheese Stuffed Bagels

These crab, cream cheese and Swiss stuffed bagels are warm, creamy, cheesy, and packed with savory crab, jalapeno, and green onions.

Featured standouts

Crab

Tender, sweet crab adds savory seafood flavor and creates the star of the creamy filling.

Cream Cheese

Cream cheese makes the filling rich, smooth, and perfectly spreadable, while helping hold everything together.

Swiss Cheese

Thick slices of Swiss cheese melt into a buttery layer over the center hole of each bagel half, sealing the bagel opening and adding a mild nutty flavor.

Fresh Jalapeño

Fresh jalapeño brings a light kick of heat that balances the richness of the cheeses. For a lower heat option, this can be adapted with finely chopped sweet peppers.

Green Onion

Minced green onion adds freshness, color, and a mild onion flavor that brightens every bite.

TIPS & TRICKS FOR THE BEST CRAB & CREAM CHEESE STUFFED BAGEL

Adding More Filling

If your bagels are very thick, scoop out a little of the center to make more room for the filling. Removing a little of the inside of each bagel half creates extra space to evenly divide and spread the crab mixture. This allows you to pack in more of the filling, which combines rich, smooth cream cheese, tender, sweet canned crab, minced fresh jalapeño for a light kick of heat, minced green onion, and dried dill.

Finish & Serve

Begin by baking the bagels in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the creamy filling is heated through and the thick slices of Swiss cheese are melted. After baking, broil for about 30 seconds until the top is lightly browned. You should broil only until the top begins to brown since the cheese can darken quickly. Serve warm immediately while the cheese is hot and the bagels are crisp around the edges.
