Crispy air fried chicken wings tossed in a fresh and tangy lemon pepper seasoning.
TIPS & TRICKS FOR THE BEST LEMON PEPPER CHICKEN WINGS
double “fry” them: similar to ultra crunchy French fries, chicken wings benefit even more. double air frying your chicken wings is almost identical to frying in your traditional fryer when done correctly. all you need to do is partially cook your chicken, cool and bake again. its a lot easier then it sounds.
season them first: people will have you coat your chicken wings in all kinds of stuff just to crack it off the top or wash it off. the recipe skips all that since the oven not only cooks in the first step but it also dries the skin out which is the most important thing for the proper crunch. instead go ahead and season your chicken before it goes in the oven the first time
let them cool: by the time your chicken wings are finished in the oven they may not be fully cooked. they will definitely be unappetizing looking till you do the final “fry” . so skip the sampling at this point and expect them to be finished in the air fryer.
add in butter: whenever i add sauces to my wings i always add in a couple tablespoons of butter with it give it that traditional flavor. no matter how good you think you sauce is. when you toss your wings add in a pat of butter and you’ll see a ton of difference.
